The Ethnographic Park & Botanical Garden

Pirámides de Güímar is an ethnographic park and botanical garden in Güímar. You can see six astronomically oriented step pyramids as well as a museum and various themed routes.

Thor Heyerdahl & pyramids

The Norwegian researcher Thor Heyerdahl founded the park in 1998 to protect and research the pyramids. Exhibitions cover his expeditions, cultural connections and the history of the step pyramids.

Poison garden & flora

The botanical garden includes specialized areas such as the Poison Garden, Sustainability Garden and Tropicarium. More than 70 poisonous plant species from different parts of the world grow in the 1,500 m² poison garden.
