The aquarium
Poema del Mar is an aquarium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with over 550 species of animals in 35 marine and freshwater ecosystems. The Jungle, Tropical and Deep Ocean areas together contain more than 9 million liters of water.
Jungle & Tropical
In the jungle you can see crocodiles, piranhas, goliath tiger fish, turtles and amphibians, among others. The Tropical area includes coral reefs, mangroves, jellyfish, seahorses and other tropical sea creatures.
Deep Ocean
Sharks, rays, moray eels, octopuses and other marine animals can be seen in the Deep Ocean. The central pool has a curved panoramic window 36 m long, 7 m high and more than 250 m² in area.
