Buenavista del Norte is located in the extreme northwest of Tenerife. The municipality is known for its pristine landscape, tranquil atmosphere and proximity to the Teno Mountains.

Steep coasts, green barrancos and the Teno Mountains determine the landscape of the municipality. The climate is mild all year round and, thanks to the Atlantic Ocean, is often a little fresher than in the south of the island.
