Tenerife is known for having one of the most pleasant climates in the world. On the north coast, temperatures remain mild all year round and offer pleasantly warm conditions even during the European winter months.
Moist trade winds cause more clouds and precipitation in the north than in the drier south. At the same time, they enable the particularly green vegetation for which this site is known.
Trade wind clouds and the typical sea of clouds often form on the northern slopes. The sun often shines again above the cloud layer, meaning that different weather conditions can occur over short distances.
