The Palmetum Santa Cruz is a botanical garden with an important palm collection. Around 3,000 plant species grow on twelve hectares, including almost 600 different palm taxa.
The garden areas are divided according to geographical regions and show flora from tropical islands from different parts of the world. These include numerous rare and endangered species.
The completely redesigned and landscaped site rises above the coast of Santa Cruz. Paths lead through the various plant collections to viewpoints of the Atlantic and the Anaga Mountains.
