The Museum

The MHA conveys the history and everyday culture of Tenerife using historical objects and collections. Social, economic and cultural developments on the island are taken into account.

History of Tenerife

The exhibitions at Casa Lercaro cover the development of Tenerife from the 15th to the 20th century. Topics include society, economy, institutions and culture.

Two historical locations

The museum is divided between the Casa Lercaro in the historic center of La Laguna and the Casa de Carta in Valle de Guerra. Both houses have different focuses within the history and anthropology of Tenerife.
