The Policía Local in Los Cristianos is part of the municipal police force in Arona and is therefore responsible for many everyday situations on site. Traffic problems, illegal parking, municipal regulations and public order are typical.
The department takes on local traffic and regulatory tasks in the heavily visited coastal town. This includes recording accidents, parking and stopping bans, and enforcing municipal regulations in public spaces.
The Policía Nacional is responsible for, among other things, identity cards, passports and many foreign matters. The Guardia Civil is particularly recognizable for its tasks on highways, at borders and coasts as well as in ports and airports. The Policía Local, on the other hand, is the right police for local traffic, municipal rules and many order problems within the community.
