The Policía Local of Santiago del Teide is the municipal police force of the municipality and has its headquarters in Puerto de Santiago. Traffic problems, illegal parking, municipal regulations and public order are typical.

Traffic, order & municipal area

The Policía Local regulates local traffic, records traffic accidents and monitors parking and stopping bans. Its area of ​​responsibility includes, among others, Puerto de Santiago, Los Gigantes, Playa de la Arena and the main town Santiago del Teide.

Local, Nacional & Guardia Civil

The Policía Nacional is responsible for, among other things, identity cards, passports and many foreign matters. The Guardia Civil is particularly recognizable for its tasks on highways, at borders and coasts as well as in ports and airports. The Policía Local, on the other hand, is the right police for local traffic, municipal rules and many order problems within the community.
