National Police
The Policía Nacional La Laguna is a department of the Spanish National Police in the northeast of Tenerife. Typical for them are law enforcement and investigations as well as special responsibilities for ID cards, passports and many immigration matters.
Crimes, ID cards & Foreigners' Affairs
The Policía Nacional files criminal complaints and investigates theft, fraud and other crimes. Her special tasks also include Spanish identity cards and passports as well as numerous matters relating to foreigners.
Nacional, Guardia Civil & Local
The Guardia Civil is particularly recognizable for its tasks on highways, at borders and coasts as well as in ports and airports. The Policía Local primarily takes care of local traffic and municipal order. The Policía Nacional, on the other hand, is particularly responsible for law enforcement in its area of operation as well as ID cards, passports and many foreign matters.
